Ksenija Prohaska
Ksenija Prohaska u Zagrebu je završila Akademiju kazališnih umjetnosti. Već kao studentica nastupa u Hrvatskom narodnom kazalištu u Zagrebu. U narednih sedam godina igra dvadeset i dvije različite uloge klasičnog kazališnog repertoara: od grčkih tragedija do Shakespearea, Goldonija, Lorce, Ibsena, Strindberga… Veliko priznanje doživljava za ulogu Nevjeste u Lorcinoj Krvavoj svadbi.
Nakon brojnih kazališnih, slijede zapažene uloge u televizijskim serijama i filmovima. U filmu Gosti iz galaksije oskarovca Dušana Vukotića Ksenija Prohaska kao mlada zvijezda u usponu igra jednu od glavnih uloga. Ta znanstveno-fantastična parodija osvojila je brojne međunarodne nagrade i postala odskočnom daskom za internacionalnu karijeru Ksenije Prohaske. Gledamo je potom u filmovima Transylvania 6 – 5000 s Geenom Davis i Jeffrey Jones, Asian Task Force i
Tipperary, s Krisom Kristoffersonom i Drew Barrymore, a također i u filmu Bugsy s Warrenom Beattyjem i Joe Montegnom, gdje se pojavljuje upravo u ulozi Marlene Dietrich.
Nakon trinaest dugometražnih filmova i dvadesetak TV serija (najpoznatija Seaquest sa Roy Scheiderom), Ksenija Prohaska od 1998. ponovo je u rodnom gradu i već prvom svojom ulogom grofice Olivije u Shakespeareovom komadu Na tri kralja (Twelfth Night or What You Will – režija Eduard Miler) dokazuje da se u Split vratila velika glumica. Osim kao glumica, Ksenija Prohaska nastupa i kao pjevačica i priređuje brojne koncerte sa svjetski poznatim glazbenicima širom
Europe i Sjedinjenih Država. Nije stoga neobično što je za svoj comeback pred splitskom publikom odabrala predstavu Marlene Dietrich, koja je kao stvorena da pokaže širok raspon njenih glumačkih i pjevačkih sposobnosti, ali i dočara Marlene Dietrich kao nadmoćnu i krhku, svjetski priznatu i običnu – a ipak jedinstvenu i nezaboravnu.
Ulogom Filumene Marturano u istoimenoj predstavi Eduarda de Filippa 2004. godine Ksenija Prohaska ponovo je kreirala lik koji je za dugo vremena rasprodao gledalište Ivana pl. Zajca u Rijeci te uz ovacije publike doživio i brojne kritičke panegirike. Na Marulićevim danima Prohaska je osvojila nagradu za najbolju glumicu, a predstava je na brojnim festivalima višestruko nagrađivana. Velike uspjehe predstava je polučila na BITEF-u, te u čuvenom teatru Georga Strellera Piccolo teatro di Milano krajem 2004.
Ksenija Prohaska iznimna je glumica, diljem svijeta poznata po svojoj dugogodišnjoj i uspješnoj karijeri. Kao glumica, redateljica i pedagoginja, Prohaska je bila ključna figura u oblikovanju hrvatskog kazališta kroz desetljeća. Njezina svestranost i inovativnost u kazalištu postavile su je u središte kulturnog života Hrvatske.

Ksenija Prohaska graduated from the Academy of Dramatic Arts in Zagreb. Even as a student, she began performing at the Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb. Over the next seven years, she played 22 different roles from the classical theater repertoire, ranging from Greek tragedies to Shakespeare, Goldoni, Lorca, Ibsen, and Strindberg. She received great acclaim for her role as the Bride in Lorca’s Blood Wedding.
After numerous theater performances, she gained recognition for her roles in television series and films. In the film Visitors from the Galaxy by Academy Award-winning director Dušan Vukotić, Ksenija Prohaska, as a rising young star, played one of the leading roles. This science fiction parody won numerous international awards and became a stepping stone for her international career. She later appeared in films such as Transylvania 6-5000 with Geena Davis and Jeffrey Jones, Asian Task Force and Tipperary with Kris Kristofferson and Drew Barrymore, and in the movie Bugsy with Warren Beatty and Joe Mantegna, where she portrayed Marlene Dietrich.
After 13 feature films and about 20 TV series (most notably Seaquest with Roy Scheider), Ksenija Prohaska returned to her hometown in 1998. Her very first role upon her return, Countess Olivia in Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night (directed by Eduard Miler), proved that a great actress had returned to Split. Besides acting, Ksenija Prohaska is also a singer and has held numerous concerts with world-renowned musicians across Europe and the United States. It is no surprise that she chose the play Marlene Dietrich for her comeback in front of the Split audience, a role perfectly suited to showcase her wide range of acting and singing abilities, while also portraying Marlene Dietrich as both powerful and fragile, globally recognized yet ordinary – and still unique and unforgettable.
In 2004, with her role as Filumena Marturano in the play of the same name by Eduardo de Filippo, Ksenija Prohaska once again created a character that sold out the Ivan pl. Zajc Theatre in Rijeka for a long time, receiving standing ovations and numerous critical accolades. At the Marulić Days Festival, Prohaska won the award for Best Actress, and the play received multiple awards at various festivals. The play also had great success at BITEF and at the famous Giorgio Strehler’s Piccolo Teatro di Milano in late 2004.
Ksenija Prohaska is an exceptional actress, known worldwide for her long and successful career. As an actress, director, and educator, Prohaska has been a key figure in shaping Croatian theater for decades. Her versatility and innovation in the theater have placed her at the heart of Croatia’s cultural life.
