Milka Podrug Kokotović desetljećima ostavlja značajan trag u kazalištu i filmu. Poznata je po svojoj izuzetnoj glumačkoj karijeri i širokom repertoaru ulogama koje je igrala na pozornici i u filmskim ostvarenjima. Rođena u Dicmu 1930. godine, djetinjstvo i mladost provela je u Splitu, gdje su joj i prije živjeli roditelji. Klasičnu gimnaziju je završila u Splitu, a potom upisuje glumačku školu u Zagrebu. Nakon prve godine i dobijene stipendije, odlazi u Sarajevo pohađati još tri godine. U Sarajevu je i diplomirala.
Za kazališni angažman odabrala je Dubrovnik i od 1954.g. do danas mu je ostala vjerna.Samo je četiri puta glumački izbivala iz domicilnog mjesta, u Teatru ITD, Zagreb, HNK Split i u Kraljevskom pozorištu Zetski dom na Cetinju.
Pored neprekidnog rada u vrlo raznovrsnom repertoaru dubrovačkog kazališta Marina Držića, nastupa od 1964. i na Dubrovačkim ljetnim igrama i ostvaruje nezaboravne uloge. Milka je snimila niz igranih filmova, kao i televizijskih drama i serija. Od 1960. do danas, dobitnica je brojnih priznanja i nagrada, kako prigodnih i godišnjih, tako i nagradu za životno djelo.O Milkinom glumačkom umijeću su s divljenjem i poštovanjem pisali ugledni kritičari, teatrolozi i
kazalištarci.

Milka Podrug Kokotović has left a significant mark on theater and film for decades. She is known for her remarkable acting career and a wide repertoire of roles performed both on stage and in films. Born in Dicmo in 1930, she spent her childhood and youth in Split, where her parents had lived before. She completed her classical high school in Split and then enrolled in acting school in Zagreb. After her first year, having received a scholarship, she moved to Sarajevo to continue her studies for another three years, where she eventually graduated.
For her theater career, she chose Dubrovnik and has remained loyal to it since 1954. She has only briefly departed from her hometown four times to perform at ITD Theater in Zagreb, the Croatian National Theatre (HNK) in Split, and the Royal Theatre Zetski dom in Cetinje.
In addition to her continuous work in the diverse repertoire of Dubrovnik’s Marin Držić Theater, she has been performing at the Dubrovnik Summer Festival since 1964, creating unforgettable roles. Milka has appeared in numerous feature films, as well as television dramas and series. From 1960 to the present, she has received numerous awards and recognitions, including both annual awards and a lifetime achievement award.
